Holding expertise in multiple fields, including programming, communications, and international trade, Samat brings a multitalent skill set to his work, allowing him to approach business challenges from various professional perspectives.

Samat’s career is marked by founding and leading numerous successful companies across various industries, including technology, media, marketing, e-commerce, health tourism and fashion. As President of the Global New York Chamber of Commerce, he helps New York businesses expand internationally and assists foreign businesses in establishing a presence in New York.

In addition to his role at the Chamber, Samat is the founder of Umi Capital Holding, a global investment company with offices in New York and worldwide, supporting businesses across multiple industries globally. His accomplishments also include founding Marketing House (a.k.a. Eyula), a global marketing agency serving top brands worldwide with PR, media, and advertising services, and Eyula Bilisim, a technology company specializing in SaaS solutions, fintech, and adtech.

Samat also serves on the boards of companies in apparel and furniture industries, and he co-founded an investment fund supporting early-stage startups. His experience and understanding of cross-cultural business environments allow him to build strong connections and create opportunities across borders and sectors.

Personal Life

Samat is happily married and a proud father of two daughters. Outside of his professional life, he is good at playing chess and table tennis. He has recently taken up a new hobby as the handyman of his own home, enjoying the process of fixing, and improving. Another recent passion is collecting and restoring antiques, where he finds fulfillment in bringing historic items back to their original beauty. Samat also has a special interest in proverbs from various cultures, seeing them as valuable insights and lessons passed down through centuries. His favorite quote is, “Those who are afraid of losing will never succeed.”

Samat embodies the spirit of New York itself. Both he and the city are multicultural, multilingual, global, and ambitious. Samat loves New York, and the feeling is mutual - a shared respect between a city and a leader who both embody a global spirit.
